British virtual instrument expert, Spitfire Audio, has released Cinematic Soft Piano, a plug-in that is built on the extremely successful LABS Soft Piano.
The same felted upright Yamaha U3 piano from the LABS instrument has been used on Cinematic Soft Piano. It’s been re-recorded in AIR Studios, a space with rich acoustics and home to countless blockbuster score recordings – and one of Spitfire Audio’s go-to studios for pristine recordings.
Cinematic Soft Piano has also been recorded in further detail, with multiple mic positions, round robins and dynamic layers. You can choose from three signals: Close, Mix (engineered by Jake Jackson) and Pad. Five presets are included with Intimate, Upfront, 50 50, Afterglow and Washed Out. These sounds range from “close and intimate to reverberant and enveloping, with synth textures”, according to Spitfire Audio.
Six parameters are onboard for sound shaping in Expression, Dynamics, Reverb, Tightness, Pedal and Hammers. The plug-in comes in Spitfire Audio’s free dedicated host plug-in, which is NKS compatible.
Spitfire Audio also has a sale on at the moment, offering up to 50% discount on selected products until 2 August 2020.
Cinematic Soft Piano is available now for £29. Find out more at spitfireaudio.com
